About the disc:

The Elevation Disc Golf Groundhog is an overstable approach disc designed with a unique anti-gyro construction to reduce glide and bring the disc to the ground faster. Instead of concentrating weight around the rim, the Groundhog places additional material in the center of the flight plate, reducing gyroscopic stability and causing the disc to lose forward carry earlier in flight. This creates a controlled, dropping finish that helps limit unwanted skips or long ground play.

The Groundhog also features a lower-profile design compared to similar low-glide approach discs, giving it a more comfortable feel in the hand for both forehand and backhand throws. Made with Elevation’s flexible hit-and-stick material, it is designed to absorb impact and stay near the landing zone, making aggressive approach runs and controlled placement shots easier to manage.

About the plastic:

Our ecoFIRM rubber is made of vulcanized natural rubber, with up to 30% recycled material made of scrap from medical industry manufacturing such as rubber gloves, or stoppers. In other words, every 1,000 discs we produce prevents 10,000 rubber gloves that did not meet manufacturing standards from ending up in the world's landfills. Although it uses recycled material, it is extremely durable due to the strong and flexible nature of vulcanized natural rubber. It is also super grippy (think pink eraser or a new shoe sole) and our stiffest material to date giving you confidence in the hand and the ability to pick up and start using it right away, while still maintaining a flex that absorbs impact.
